Hi Friends, Thanks to an alert from freelance Trail Buddy Extraordinaire, Erik Freeman, (who alerted me to recent vandalism on our sacred little "bald top" (Coolidge Hill), I ventured up this morning (7/13) to clean it up...even though we have a big initiative coming up next Sat., 7/19, (Our Mid-summer Day of Reflection and Service). I merely picked up the "low hanging fruit." Still plenty of broken glass (as many of you know). Keep faith with our community building/healing concept: less blaming, more empathy. We have some folks out there that we need to reach; I could feel the anger, alienation, and sadness in all the pieces of broken lawn furniture that I collected. They haven't experienced the care and education that inspires most of our youth. Simple as that. Come and help me on Sat., 7/19 We'll share poems, thoughts and prayers. And give the sacred hill a blessing. Look forward to seeing you. Check out the wildflowers, the view, the ripening wild blueberries, and the exquisite clusters of star moss. Told you that The Trash-Free Natick Project was about a lot more than trash. --Pat
