Drivers Records Taken During Safe Theft at Registry

There were hundreds of driving records in a safe that was stolen from the RMV in Natick this past summer.

NATICK, MA - During a burglary this summer at Natick’s Registery of Motor Vehicles, the personal records of more than 100 drivers were taken.

The safe, filled with “sensitive information,” was taken during the burglary that happened at the end of July, reported the MetroWest Daily News, which obtained the information on the theft through a public records request.

The RMV warned the customers to be aware of possible identity theft activity after the safe was stolen. The safe was 100 pounds and located at the rear of the building.
