Environmental Bond Bill Includes Local Funding
Rep. Linsky joined his colleagues in voting on an Environmental Bond Bill, which included funding for Natick and Millis.

BOSTON- Representative David Linsky (D-Natick) joined his colleagues this week in voting for H.4599, An Act promoting climate change adaptation, environmental and natural resource protection, and investment in recreational assets and opportunity. The Environmental Bond Bill included amendments filed by Representative Linsky that could bring important funding to the towns of Natick and Millis.
The Environmental Bond Bill authorizes more than two billion dollars in funding to protect against the impacts of climate change and conserve natural resources. The funding and policy proposed in this legislation reach every corner of our Commonwealth, from coastal infrastructure to agricultural preservation. It also invests in water and air quality protection, municipal vulnerability preparedness grants, and an electric vehicle incentive program. These are necessary steps to make Massachusetts a leader in global climate change solutions, while preserving our community’s natural assets for generations to come.
Included in the Environmental Bond Bill the House adopted were two amendments offered by Representative Linsky, bringing important funding to Natick and Millis. For Natick, $2,000,000 was secured for the design, acquisition, and construction of multipurpose trails; and, for Millis, $15,000 was awarded to replace the existing water booster pump station.
