Alzheimers/Dementia Support Groups for Carepartners and Patients (two separate groups held at the same time) Sessions provide assistance and guidance in a confidential setting for sharing feelings, ideas, concerns and even some laughter. Meetings are free of charge, open to the public, conveniently located and handicapped accessible. Light refreshments are served.
On January 10th, we will have a special guest speaker - Mal Allard. Mal will present “Someone stole my diamond bracelet!”
Join this advocate for a talk honoring the struggles of her beloved, belated mother-in-law and others experiencing the unwanted intrusion of Alzheimer’s disease. Her story, connected to so many more, happens to involve a bracelet. It can teach us how and why acceptance, love, humor and the ability to treasure life lived in-the-moment are essential for caregivers—personal and professional—to embrace for the shared journey dementia presents.
