Author Sarah Hoagland Hunter will be at the Bacon Free Library for a special Christmas reading. Sara’s new book, The Lighthouse Santa, is based on the unsung hero Edward Rowe Snow, who 70 years ago began dropping presents from his plane to lonely lighthouse children at holiday time. Her book captures the excitement of one young child waiting for the Lighthouse Santa on a stormy Christmas Eve.
Grandparents and parents are welcome to share stories about Edward Rowe Snow with the author after the reading. There will be a lighthouse art project for children. Holiday cookies will be served and autographed books will be for sale. Free, no reservations required.
