An introduction to the Child Personal Safety Curriculum presented by: Marybeth Dwyer, Massachusetts Children's Defense Fund.
This comprehensive program is developmentally appropriate and designed to be taught in the classroom over the course of a few weeks. Topics include safety rules for riding in the car and responding to a fire, as well as handling inappropriate touching and responding to strangers. Marybeth Dwyer is the Family Support Training Specialist for the Children’s Defense Fund in Boston, a division of the MA Department of Early Education and Care. Marybeth received her B.A. from the University of Massachusetts and is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Ministry program through St. John’s Seminary in Boston. The Massachusetts Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) is the lead coordinator and training agency bringing Talking About Touching (TAT) to Massachusetts through an agreement with the Committee for Children, the developer of the curriculum.
