The TCAN Players present Proof, the Tony and Pulitzer prize winning play exploring the complex relationships between genius and mental illness; fathers and their children; and between siblings in wake of a parent’s passing. Touching
and often humorous, Proof is the story of Catherine, the daughter of Robert, a recently deceased mathematical genius at the University of Chicago. After Robert’s death, a paradigm- changing proof about prime numbers is found in Robert’s office. The play’s title refers to the play’s central question: Can Catherine prove the proof’s authorship?
