"Ready or Not...The Life & Development of Boys in & out of School" A TECPA Event Presented by Ben Russell, Sr. Program Director, Literacy & Curriculum Design (Pk-5), Boston Public Schools

Have you ever thought that the way we attempt to educate our young boys may be the cause of their academic and social frustration?  Together we’ll engage in a conversation about the development of boys and how we can better support them in our classrooms. If you’ve ever had a boy that left you guessing, then this is the program for you!

Ben Russell, former Assistant Director in the Department of Early Childhood for the Boston Public Schools, has also served as the Principal of the East Zone Early Learning Center in Dorchester.  Ben served on the Board of the MA Department of Early Education and Care. He was one of nine leaders in the field to be appointed by the Governor to serve on this board at its inception. He chaired the Public Policy committee for the Governing Board of the Boston Association for the Education of Young Children.

The Early Childhood Professional Association (TECPA)'s Professional Development Programs are designed specifically to meet the needs of early childhood and elementary educators, afterschool professionals, program administrators, and family childcare providers.

TECPA events include a light dinner at 6:00 pm with program running from 6:30-8:30. For programming information, please contact Lori Davis at ldavis@tecpa.org.
