TECPA Presents, "Helping Children with Worries, Anxieties & Fears,” with Dr. Karen Levine, Developmental Psychologist

Join us for our next TECPA program, "Helping Children with Worries, Anxieties & Fears,” Presented by Dr. Karen Levine, Developmental Psychologist.

Anxiety and fears around every day events such as separation, doctor visits, and changes in routines, are very common in young children. Some children have such significant fears that this can impact their well being or ability to enjoy or learn from typical childhood activities. This workshop provides an overview of anxiety and phobias, adaptive and maladaptive, and then focuses on using Replays (Levine and Chedd) and related specific approaches to treating fears through fun targeted interactive play. Approaches are applicable for treating the day-to-day fears of young children with or without special needs. Videoclip examples will be used throughout to illustrate techniques.

The Early Childhood Professional Association (TECPA)'s Professional Development Programs are designed specifically to meet the needs of early childhood and elementary educators, afterschool professionals, program administrators, and family childcare providers.
