Beatrix Potter was not only an author and illustrator, but also a land conservationist and a political activist who managed to overcome a Victorian upbringing and become a successful, independent, and accomplished woman in her own right---no small feat in turn of the 19th century England!
Betsy Bray, an international authority on Beatrix Potter presents a lively look at the remarkable life of this acclaimed children’s author and illustrator. Bray is a former Library Director and now lives on Cape Cod.
She has been a member of the London-based Beatrix Potter Society for 25 years and serves as the group’s North American Liaison Officer.
