Jessica Locke went to NYC to volunteer at a Ground Zero firehouse after 9/11 "for just a day". Inspired by the courageous firefighters of FDNY Engine 32, she adopted the firehouse and changed the direction of her life. Her eventual acceptance past the " big red doors" by a line of battle-hardened firefighters is a heartwarming tribute to how giving to others can become the ultimate experience of receiving.
She is the author of a book, Rescue at Engine 32 and she is the Executive Director of the Jessica Locke Firefighters Fund.
