The British Virgin Islands are made up of over 50 islands and cays, the most well known of which include Tortola, Virgin Gorda and Jost Van Dyke. Due to the geography, one of the best ways to explore these tropical islands is by sailboat. Boats offer unique access to little visited islands as well as to the amazing underwater world. Bird life varies widely, from rainforest dwellers, such as red-billed and white-tailed tropicbirds, to wading birds such as the flamingo and roseate spoonbill. Marine life includes a wide variety of corals and fish life along with dolphins and endangered sea turtles such as the loggerhead.
