Fire Rips Through Natick Home, Causes Extensive Damage, Displaces 4

NATICK, MA — Four people were displaced following a second-alarm fire in Natick early Wednesday morning, according to the Natick Fire Department. Firefighters responded to a report of a fire at 10 Davis Brook Drive at 3:05 a.m.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the house and a large volume of fire in the attached garage. Firefighters transmitted a second alarm to bring in mutual aid to assist.

All occupants made it out of the building safely due to functioning smoke alarms. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control. The fire was extinguished it just after 4 a.m.

It was the second multiple alarm fire of the shift, according to the fire department statement.

Wellesley firefighters assisted at the scene while Wayland and Framingham crews provided station coverage. Cataldo EMS provided an ambulance for standby. Crews cleared the scene shortly after 6 a.m.

The Natick Fire Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the blaze. The fire caused extensive damage to the home and displaced four people.
