Foundation For MetroWest Seeks 1,000 Donors By December
The Natick-based nonprofit launched its year-end fundraiser this week, calling it the "most ambitious" to date.

NATICK, MA — The local nonprofit for nonprofits has launched what it is calling the "most ambitious" fundraising campaign to date: The Foundation for MetroWest is seeking 1,000 donors in the next 100 days for its year-end fundraiser, ONEmetrowest.
The Natick-based Foundation for MetroWest serves about 33 cities and towns between I-495 and I-95 by offering educational programs and funding for nonprofits working in local communities. For example, the foundation established a $3.5 million emergency relief fund as coronavirus swept across the region that supported MetroWest nonprofits providing food, shelter and other essentials.
The fundraiser was at about 234 donors as of Thursday. There's no set level for each donation because the campaign's focus is on the 1,000-donor goal, a spokesperson said this week.

"Our community has turned to the foundation for support during the good times and the unprecedented ones," Executive Director Judy Salerno said in a news release. "Now, we’re leaning on our community to ensure we can sustain our work for many years to come. ONEmetrowest is about more than raising dollars for our annual fund — it is about ensuring everyone in this region feels united, responsible for each other’s well-being, and vested in the vitality of our communities because we are stronger together."
