Framingham Man Cited For Driving Unmarked Police Car in Natick
The car had low mounted blue lights in the back window, and the man had a former state police badge in the car.

NATICK, MA—A Framingham is facing charges and was also cited for unlawful display of blue lights on a vehicle after he allegedly drove an unmarked police car he said he bought at an auction.
Jeffrey M. Svendbye, 32, Framingham, was arrested on a warrant, and also was also cited for Unlawful Display of Blue Lights on a Vehicle and Missing Front Registration Plate.
On Saturday, Sept. 24, around 5:30 p.m., an officer on patrol was driving behind a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria on Speen Street when he noticed the vehicle had mounted low profile police lights in its rear window. The Crown Victoria also had several antennas on its roof and a "police interceptor" emblem affixed on the car.

When stopped, Svendbye, who had an active default warrant out for his arrest, said he bought the car from a Massachusetts State Police auction in July.
Inside the vehicle was a former state police lieutenant badge, which was placed in evidence. Svendbye was held at the Natick Police Department pending his arraignment.
