Full Moon Walk and Tu BiShvat Celebration

Full moon, potluck dinner, and celebration of the Jewish New Year for the Trees Tuesday, February 3, 6:54 PM 107 Concord Road, Wayland

Come for a short nighttime walk under the light of the full moon at Upper Mill Brook Conservation Area, followed by a potluck Tu BiShvat seder and potluck vegetarian dinner at Peace Lutheran Church, right at the trail head.

In celebration of the New Year for the Trees, we’ll share foods of the seven Biblical species from Israel: pomegranate, grapes, wheat, barley, figs, dates, and olives, as well as various fruits and nuts. For our ritual seder we’ll need fruits or nuts with shells or pits and those that are fully edible, as well as white and purple grape juice.

Bring something to share that includes one or more of these, and please let us know what you are bringing! You are also invited to bring your favorite reading or song about trees.

This event is co-sponsored by Ma’yan Tikvah - A Wellspring of Hope and Mosaic Jewish Outdoor Club of MA. Rabbi Katy Allen will lead the walk and seder. Please RSVP to rabbi@mayantikvah.org.
