Funds For New Natick Boden Lane Bridge In Transportation Bill
Natick could get $23 million from the bill, including money to build parking at the town's two commuter rail stations.
NATICK, MA — A $16.5 billion transportation bond bill passed by the Legislature early Wednesday morning includes more than $23 million for projects in Natick, including a brand new Boden Lane bridge.
The bond bill passed almost unanimously in the House and Senate Wednesday — the lone "no" vote was Sutton Republican state Sen. Ryan Fattman — and now heads to Gov. Charlie Baker for possible approval.
The bill includes $7.5 million each for the West Natick and Natick Center commuter rail stations to build new parking structures. There's also $3 million for the Boden Lane bridge replacement. The structure was damaged beyond repair on Oct. 31, 2019, and a temporary pedestrian-only span has been in place for nearly a year.

The bill also includes $5 million for a rebuilt intersection where Route 27 and Route 9 intersect. The interchange project has been in the design phase for several years with no construction plans announced.
