Gerard Ward, Father of Two, Gone at 50
The Brookline High grad was a 25-year employee of FedEx.

Gerard Francis Ward, 50, of Natick, formerly of Brookline, passed away unexpectedly on September 1. He was the beloved husband of Joanne C. (Curry) Ward with whom he shared 21 years of marriage.
Born in Boston, Gerard was raised and educated in Brookline where he was a member of the Brookline High School Class of 1980. He went on to earn his Associate’s degree from Mass Bay College. He was a proud employee of FedEx for 25 years. Gerard was a dedicated and devoted husband and father who also enjoyed playing tennis, reading, and listening to music. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 2 cherished children, Katelyn and Conor Ward of Natick; his mother, Eleanor (McLaughlin) Ward of Dedham, formerly of Brookline; 2 sisters, Alice Olson and her husband Andrew of Holden and Ellie Ward and her husband Craig of Dedham; his brother, Robert Ward and his wife Lori of Westwood; his mother-in-law, Joan Curry of Brookline; 2 sisters-in-law, Barbara Curry Ellis of Randolph and Marilyn Curry and her husband Tom Nesbitt of Dedham; his brother-in-law, Steven Curry of Brookline; and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his father, William J. Ward, Jr.; his brother, William J. “Billy” Ward, III; and his father-in-law, Daniel Curry.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Gerard’s Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, September 8 at 10 a.m. in . Burial will follow in . Visiting hours will be held in the on Friday, September 7 from 4-8 p.m.
