Some Great News from Coolidge Hill, Natick, Massachusetts: one of the incredible achievements of The Trash-Free Natick Project....after a dozen community clean-ups ("Big Sweeps") over the past four years, it looks better than ever. Only one "stray" Mike's Lemonade didn't quite make it into the MassCor Recycle Bin, and a couple of plastic water bottles at the first "rocky outcrop." At the summit, no new broken glass, but some "recently emerged" shards from rain erosion.
On Friday morning, 6/20, had the great privilege of hiking to the summit this morning with three of my grandkids, Bowen (7), Genevieve (9), and Matthew Morrison (11), all of whom had helped me on previous "Big Sweeps." The view was exquisite and breathtaking. Many ripening wild blueberries...give them a couple of more weeks, wonderful mosses, lady slippers now 2 - 3 weeks past bloom. Get up there and see it for yourself. And don't forget to join us for the Mid-Summer Day of Service and Reflection, July 19...another critical step in the The Trash-Free Natick Project --pat
