Groundbreaking Set For Kennedy Middle School Project

The final phase of the project is expected to wrap up in time for the 2020-2021 school year.

NATICK, MA- The Kennedy Middle School building project is taking a giant step closer to making the new school a reality with a groundbreaking ceremony set.

The ceremony will be on March 27 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Kennedy Middle School.

The new 182,000-square-foot building will be constructed to the west of the existing building allowing the school to continue to function while construction occurs. The new school is expected to hold 1,000 students. Modern features were incorporated into the architectural design for student's benefit, according to the district. Work will continue through the summer, with the final phase expected to wrap up in time for the 2020-2021 school year. Rendering of the new school hang in the current Kennedy Middle School lobby.

Project leaders and supporters will speak at the groundbreaking ceremony. There will also be a performance by the Kennedy Chorus. The event will be held rain or shine.
