Growing Local Afterschool is Open for Registration

Are you a parent looking for an Afterschool for the upcoming year? GEO Jewish Afterschool of the Metrowest is growing and has spots available for new students! Since its inception three years ago, GEO has catapulted from a quiet pilot program to a happening and happy space for elementary-aged kids to unwind, especially after a long morning at school.

Professionally-run and staffed, GEO offers the full gamut of enrichment opportunities — whether it’s karate, robotics, drama, or sports, GEO students are provided with tools to live, learn and grow. And while its enrichment is fun, exciting and creative (there are even magic lessons!), what stands out is its nurturing, warm and authentic environment.

Also, for the first time in the Metrowest, this startup-like Afterschool provides Jewish studies, including a full, hands-on Hebrew literacy curriculum. No need for a Sunday Hebrew School! There are options for Bar/Bat Mitzvah lessons, as well as celebrating Jewish holidays. Additionally, GEO families connect with each other at events, creating community. (There is no synagogue membership required.)

One parent who has been sending her children to GEO since its inception, shares, "My kids love GEO! They are safe, taken care of and are learning and discovering new talents, everyday."

GEO was founded in 2021 by local educator Chanie Fogelman. As a Natick mom herself, Fogelman is deeply aware of local needs. She is certified by the EEC as Director Lead Teacher and has previously directed preschools and camps. She is also the Education Director at the Chabad Center of Natick—Metrowest.

“GEO stands for Greatness Energizing Oasis,” shares Fogelman, “our goal is to give kids a safe space, environment that brings out each kid’s individual greatness. Plus it’s an oasis — a friendly, welcoming home away from home.”

Fogelman hand-picks the staff for their warmth, professional demeanor and enthusiasm. The entire faculty is trained in the Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA).
