Hi Friends,
Hope some of you will be able to join us for our First Annual Natick Green-up Day, Sat., 6/28, 9 am - Noon. Come work for an hour if that's all you have time for. We'll have two staging locations: one at Roche Bros parking lot, the other at the Stop n Shop Parking area. Coffee, hot chocolate, donuts, bagels provided thanks to our dear friend and supporter at Dunkin Donuts Corporate (Nick Jenkins), trash bags, pickers, and gloves provided by Home Depot thanks to our generous and good friend (Marvin Hammett, Assistant Mngr.) Believe it or not, we're getting closer and closer to our goal ("vision") of a Trash-Free Natick in 2014, the first community in Massachusetts to accomplish this. Still only about two dozen volunteers short.
I recommend:
• long pants despite the warm weather. There are still a few patches of poison ivy.
• water bottle, sunblock, hat, work gloves if you have them, but we have plenty of gloves.
• old pair of sneakers that you don't mind getting a little muddy.
The weather's supposed to be pretty good. Hope to see you Sat. --pat
