This Is How Easy It Is To Get Your Wallet Ripped Off: Natick Police

NATICK, MA—Natick police get a lot of video, and admit that some of it is grainy and has little value to their investigations.

But while that may be the case, these videos, said police, can illustrate situations where the public is vulnerable. Such is this.

The video here shows the loss of a credit card, which is reported to Natick police consistently.

"The ease of stealing the card is the story and thwarting the act simple," writes Natick police. "It’s a battle of wits. Your wits against dimwits, halfwits and nitwits." Police say the "rip is simple," and the "actors" go inside the establishment, walk around, and pretend to look at offerings. They look at who has left a purse hanging on the back of a chair, or on the floor. They sit behind the target and wait to grab it.
