NATICK, MA — As difficult as it was to find a Christmas tree in 2020, now it's time to start thinking about throwing yours away.

In Natick, the town will collect trees at the curb beginning over the first two full weeks of January, which means collections begin on Jan. 4. Trees will be collected on your regular trash day.

The sanitation department is reminding residents that you need to remove all decorations from the tree before throwing it away — that includes tinsel, as annoying as it is. Trees do not need to be in any kind of bag.
