ICYMI: Natick Cop Stops Man From Jumping Off Bridge

A Natick cop is being credited with stopping a suicidal man from leaping to his death.

NATICK, MA–On Wednesday, Natick police received numerous calls from drivers reporting that a man was on the Speen Street bridge over Route 9.

Natick Officer Dylan Punch got to the man, who was crying with his leg hanging over the ledge, and threatening to jump, reports MetroWest Daily News.

The man was in his early 20s, and Punch talked to him, learning the man had lost his job and place to live, and explained that they could help him with those temporary problems. A group of people, too, had stopped their cars to try to help, but were asked to back off.
