ICYMI: Natick K9 Assists Framingham PD in Drug Distribution Bust
K9 Axel searched a car that ultimately led to an arrest of a Brockton man for distribution of cocaine.

NATICK, MA—Natick police's K9 Axel and his handler, Officer Michael Mabardy, assisted in a search that led to the arrest of a Brockton man for distributing cocaine.
Framingham police pulled Brockton man Aaron Heywood, 34, over on Monday, which ultimately led to being charged on several offenses, reports the MetroWest Daily News. Heywood, West Ave, Brockton, was pulled over for having excessively tinted windows. He was arrested for driving with a suspended license, and during the search, police found a bag of marijuana in the car. When Axel searched the car, it led to finding crack cocaine in an ashtray in the vehicle.
Natick police gave big props to Axel for his assist.
