It's About a Lot More Than Trash

Hi Friends,
The Trash-Free Natick Project is about a lot more than trash. We're hoping to ignite a grassroots movement of young, old, families, students, churches, town organizations to give a little bit every month to make our community trash free. It's about relationships, connections, taking a little better care of our neighborhoods and the earth. It's about planting wondrous and complex plants in the understory of an exquisite woodland overrun with invasive species (knotweed). It's about restoring Natick's only little "Bald Top" (Coolidge Hill) to its inspiring natural state (after decades of abuse from underage drinking and bottle-smashing)...it's about rethinking the health of our streams and ponds...mitigating storm water runoff, persuading neighbors not to use harsh chemicals on their lawns to kill a few dandelions...about one basic message: we're all in this together. We need everyone to pitch in; it can be done. Contact me if you'd like to get involved: bpconaway@gmail.com or 508-740-9949. Thanks, pat
