The MA Female Friends Giving Circle (MFFGC) is delighted to welcome new members to the Fall 2024 Giving Circle. Since the Inaugural Giving Circle in 2023, MFFGC has granted $12,900 to two MA nonprofits and is poised to continue its mission of making a sustainable impact in our Massachusetts communities.

Our Spring 2024 cycle brought together a group of 65 passionate and dedicated women from 43 communities across the state in support of under-served women and families in Massachusetts. Through a collaborative process, we awarded $7,500 to the MA Adoption Resource Exchange, which helps find adoptive homes for children and teens in foster care. “This grant will allow us to further our efforts towards providing individualized support for the youth who face the biggest barriers to permanency, specifically our work with older teens, sibling groups and youth living in residential care. The MA Female Friends Giving Circle is a beautiful example of community coming together with compassion, curiosity and generosity to support this work”, said Executive Director Bridget Chiaruttini. We were fortunate to have Bridget attend our Fall gathering to answer any questions the group had regarding their services and impact on the community.

MFFGC operates on a semi-annual schedule, making donations in the Spring and Fall of each year. Each member of the giving circle contributes $100 per cycle, and through the power of collective giving, we aim to make a significant and meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.

Together, we help to overcome challenges faced by so many of our neighbors" said Eileen Samels, Natick resident and Founding Member and Coordinator of the MFFGC. “Giving Circles are a great way to come together, learn about community issues, and be a part of the solution in a tangible way.”

MFFGC invites new members to join this philanthropic movement. The Fall 2024 MA Female Friends Giving Circle begins with new member registrations (sign up online at https://bit.ly/MFFGCSign-Up) and culminates with our ‘Learn & Vote’ member gathering (in-person, virtual, or electronic) on November 10th, where we learn about and discuss three member-nominated organizations. We then cast our votes for the recipient of our collective donation. The Fall 2024 ‘Learn & Vote’ gathering will be held on November 10th. Open to women from all walks of life in Massachusetts, MFFGC members collectively make a positive difference in the lives of under-served women and families.

The MA Female Friends Giving Circle is a community of women in Massachusetts dedicated to making a positive impact through collective giving. Operating twice a year, members contribute $100 each cycle to support under-served women and families in the Massachusetts. Members nominate, learn about, and vote on the nonprofit that will receive our grant. By pooling resources and expertise, MFFGC aims to address critical gaps in resources available to neighbors facing difficult times.
