The Left Banke & Ian Lloyd's Stories

The Left Banke has been cited by many top groups of the decades since their first hits as a major influence on their own music. Their first hit record “Walk Away Renee” in late 1966 reached #2 on the Cashbox magazine national charts and #5 on the Billboard charts. The hit was listed as #22 on Rolling Stone’s Greatest Songs of All Time and made it into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of the 500 songs that shaped Rock and Roll. Because of the classical music arrangements and beautiful vocal harmonies the group became known by the term “baroque-pop.”

Ian Lloyd and his band, Stories, will also be performing. Their single “Brother Louie” hit number one on Billboard’s Top 100 in 1973.
