Longer Natick Schools Closure Possible, Other Closings Announced

Natick will definitely keep schools closed next week, with a possible extension to March 27 possible. Other town facilities are closing.

NATICK, MA — Natick officials have announced a new round of closures related to the new coronavirus outbreak — including a possible extension of the schools cancellation.

Schools will remain closed all next week with the possibility of staying closed until March 27. Many other districts, including Framingham and Wayland, are staying closed until that date.

  • Both the Morse and Bacon libraries will be closed until further notice
  • The Community Senior Center will also be closed until further notice
  • Natick parks and playgrounds will be open, including Sasamon Trace, but large gatherings are not permitted
  • Recreation programming is suspended until March 23

Although both library buildings are closed, residents will be able to pick up books at the curb. Visit each library's website for more information.

A Natick parent did test presumptive positive for COVID-19. The parent's two Natick High School students are also presumed positive, but have not visited a school building in more than a week, according to officials.
