Lynn Kelly Out As Natick Town Clerk
Former Natick Town Clerk Diane Packer will serve in an interim role while the town recruits for a new clerk.

NATICK, MA — There are more changes happening with the Natick Town Clerk position, officials shared recently.
Lynn Kelly, who was approved by the Select Board for the Town Clerk position in September, is no longer in the role as of April 10. Diane Packer, who retired last fall, will serve as the interim while the town recruits to fill the position permanently.
Town Administrator Jamie Errickson shared the news in a memo to the Select Board on April 12.

Packer will be part of the team who will help shape what the recruitment team looks for in a new candidate, and will also be tasked with preparing for upcoming elections.
These include a special election for an associate planner position that was left off the ballot in the spring local elections, as well as the presidential election and state primary.

Town administrators will conduct a review of of the past two elections "to understand the various processes that occurred in order to improve and prepare for the upcoming elections this fall," officials said.
In addition to the absence of the planner position on ballots this spring, mail-in ballots for the spring elections arrived late, which prompted an investigation from the Secretary of the Commonwealth.
