NATICK, MA — Gov. Maura Healey is in Natick on Thursday to discuss solar energy on an important anniversary for the state.

Healey will be joined by Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) Secretary Rebecca Tepper and Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) Commissioner Elizabeth Mahony.

The trio will announce the release of the Technical Potential of Solar Study and the new interactive mapping tool that accompanies it, officials said.

The new study and tool come on the 15th anniversary of the Green Communities Act, which established the Green Communities Program that provides Massachusetts’ cities and towns with energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities.

The announcement will be made at the Massachusetts Army National Guard Readiness Center on Speen Street.
