MA Is Second 'Greenest State' In Country: Report
Massachusetts came in only second as the most greenest of the United States.

MASSACHUSETTS—While trash blowing along the side of the highways, and the bodies of water we can't swim in because of pollution may infuriate is, Bay Staters can be proud of the fact that Massachusetts is the second greenest state in the nation.
Massachusetts came in second in the list to Vermont, and ahead of Oregon, Washington and Connecticut to round out the top five.
That's according to research conducted by personal-finance website WalletHub, which released its report on 2017’s Greenest States to coincide with Earth Day festivities.

WalletHub’s analysts compared the 50 states in terms of 20 key metrics that "speak to the current health of the environment and the environmental impact of residents’ daily habits." The data set ranges from total municipal solid waste per capita to energy-efficiency score to carbon-dioxide emissions per capita.
