Since she became the newest face of the several week ago, Laura Pizzuti, has been scouring the stores to share the best finds with readers through her new blog.

The "Natick Mall Guru", as she is known to her followers, was hand selected from many applicants who applied to the mall's star search contest earlier this year. Pizzuti, a mother of two young girls, spends much of her time going from store to store, looking for the best finds and the best deals the mall has to offer. Through video interviews with store managers and fun-to-read conversational blog posts, she shares these finds with her rapidly-growing audience.

"I think that people like the idea of a real person instead of all the stuff that's out there," said Pizzuti, who shopped at the Natick Mall even before it was part of her job. "I am a real person and these are my ideas."

While she'd never written her own blog prior to her guru gig, Pizzuti describes herself as an "avid blog reader," which helps her with her writing. Her writing skills and the fact that she is willing to shop at any store helps her reel in fans. In her blog, she can be spotted picking out items anywhere from a Bruins' t-shirt from Roster to a nearly $400 shawl from Brooks Brothers to pajamas for her daughters' American Girl dolls.

"I can't stop, I'm doing it constantly," Pizzuti said of her new blogging and shopping addiction. "There are so many great deals right now."  

And great deals she will help you find, especially for the holidays. Particularly helpful for many shoppers this season may be Pizzuti's tips on how to cross everyone off your gift list without getting overwhelmed with stress.

Make a list, Pizzuti advises. "When people panic is when they go out and buy anything random," she said. "Remember what the person likes and zone in on that."
