Serious Injuries Natick Construction Site Fall
Breaking: The man was working on a staircase at Mathworks in Natick.

NATICK, MA—A man suffered serious injury after a fall at a construction site at Mathworks in Natick on Wednesday.
Around 12:52 pm., police received a call to head to 19 Superior Drive for a worker who had suffered crushing injuries after being hit by a vehicle, but it was not what had happened, according to police.
Officers said that there was a welding operation being conducted, and metal stringers were being put into police to build a new metal stairway. The metal stairway gave way and struck an extendable stair unit, on which the victim was and fell in the unit about 15 to 18 feet.

The victim suffered injuries to his arm and head. Although conscious and alert the injuries were deemed serious enough for transport to a Boston area hospital by ambulance, said police.
A full investigation into the incident is expected and the matter has been referred to the Department of Public Safety for their review.
