Hi friends,
Tomorrow (Wed., 6/4) MathWorks Corp will send me another 30 volunteers to do some serious "cleaning" of all these areas (Rte 135, the Middlesex Path Trail, and Rte 135). Today, we found a nasty "dump" area in a wood buffer just east of the VFW between 135 and the RR. Tomorrow we'll get some of that "low hanging fruit," and move on up the Fisk P shoreline. We may even get to a nasty drainage ditch adjacent to the W Natick Train Station (commuter and parking lot blowaways).
Today (Tues., 6/3) the MathWorks folks were simply amazing. We had all 7 boats on the Pond and another 20 volunteers working on the invasives along Middlesex Path and roadway trash along 135. It is clear to me that the MathWorks Corp grasps and embraces the concept of healing our earth and giving back to the community.
Join us if you can (10 am - 12 Noon). Park at the Roche Bros Plaza (northern end); you'll see my truck and canoe trailer. thanks, pat
