Morton McKenney, Mass. State Police Officer, Natick Native, Dies at 61

Services are this weekend.

Morton L. McKenney Jr. 61 of Framingham and formerly of Natick died surrounded by his loving family Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at his home. A Framingham resident for 43 years he was born in Natick the son of the late Morton L and Marion R (Campbell) McKenney.

Mr. McKenney was a Massachusetts State Police Officer for the Department of Mental Health for 26 years retiring in 1998. He then was a Lieutenant for 12 years for the Campus Police at Dana Hall School in Wellesley and was a former Framingham and Natick Auxiliary Police Officer.

He was devoted to his family, especially his grandsons, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, vacationing in Maine and was a longtime Member of the Alpha Lodge of Masons and Shriners.

He is survived by one son Paul L. McKenney and his wife Liz of Natick, one daughter Paula J. Barriere of Westborough, one sister Mary J. Hayes and her son Peter of Framingham, one brother Ralph E. McKenney of Natick, his longtime companion Cheryl A. Sexton of Framingham, grandsons, Justin P. McKenney, Brian M. McKenney, Justice M. Barriere, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

He was also the brother of the late Robin H. McKenney.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday July 18 at 10:00 A.M in the Chapel of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, July 17, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Interment Dell Park Cemetery.
