Mark R. Haranas, president and CEO of MutualOne Bank and a trustee of the MutualOne Charitable Foundation, has announced a Foundation grant of $2,500 to the MetroWest Free Medical Program (MWFMP). The award will support the volunteer organization’s emergency preparedness program, including training and the purchase of medical supplies and equipment.
According to Kim Prendergast, executive director, the grant will help MWFMP address the increasingly acute needs of low-income uninsured and under-insured individuals who seek care from the program.
“The Free Medical Program is a lifeline for the less fortunate in our community,” said Haranas. “We are pleased to offer our support for this critical program.”
