MW Human Services Advocacy Hosts Annual Legislative Breakfast
Many of the region's legislators attend this popular event.

It’s attended by many of the region’s legislators and also more than 300 MetroWest human services workers and consumers.
“This event shines a spotlight on the public policy and budgetary issues facing those in human services,” said a press release.
The MetroWest Human Services Advocacy Coalition hosts its 13th Annual Legislative Breakfast at the Natick Elks on Friday, March 20, from 8-10 a.m.

MetroWest Human Services Advocacy Coalition, which organizes the event, focuses on advocating for the necessary resources to provide professional human services to enhance the quality of life of all the people of MetroWest.
The Legislative Breakfast gives attendees a chance for the legislators to comment on policy issues that impact the human services sector in this region and statewide. Legislators share updates and perspectives from Beacon Hill, while human service consumers, workers and leaders ask for legislative support of the sector’s current budget and policy priorities.

Eric L. Masi, Ed.D, Wayside’s President & CEO, serves as this year’s chair of the Advocacy Coalition. He states: “We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful legislative delegation in MetroWest, which understands and supports the valuable work of human services.”
The event moderator is Rich Holmes, editorial page editor of the MetroWest Daily News. Confirmed legislators include: Sen. Karen Spilka, Sen. Richard Ross, Rep. Carolyn Dykema, Rep. Danielle Gregoire, Rep. Kate Hogan, Rep. John Fernandes, Rep. Tom Sannicandro and Rep. Jeffrey Roy.
