NATICK, MA — School and town officials will gather Monday afternoon to bury a time capsule at the new Kennedy Middle School.

The new $81 million Kennedy Middle School opened its doors in January, and an official opening ceremony was held this fall.

The school district recently put out a call for memories of the old school from students and staff to place in the capsule.

"As we attempt to create a time capsule to be opened sometime in the future of the new Kennedy Middle School, we are calling on all Kennedy alumni — students and staff — to share a favorite memory of the old Kennedy. It could be a fun event, a favorite teacher, or a cherished memory. We will digitally place these memories in the time capsule, so future generations can learn about the old school."

The time capsule burying ceremony featuring Superintendent Anna Nolin, Principal Jodie Cohen, plus staff and students, will begin at 1 p.m. Monday. Natick Pegasus will broadcast the burial live.
