Natick Conservation Commission Seeks Applicants For Natick Trails And Forest Stewardship Committee

The Conservation Commission is seeking applicants interested in serving on the Natick Trails and Forest Stewardship Committee. The Committee shall consist of nine members, who are residents of the Town and have an interest in stewardship of the Town of Natick’s trail and open space system and/or related skills or experience. For the purposes of this Committee, open spaces refers to those that are forested, containing wetlands, and/or managed by the Conservation Commission. The Committee will be responsible for:
- assisting the Conservation Commission with development of a stewardship strategy or plan for Town trails and Conservation Commission owned lands;
- implementation and updating of the Hunnewell Town Forest Stewardship Plan;
- executing stewardship efforts (maintenance and improvements);
- work in collaboration with staff and related boards on long range planning for trails; and
- increase public awareness of Natick’s natural landscapes.
Priority consideration given to those who were active members of the now defunct Town Forest Committee and Trails Maintenance Committee.
