Natick, Everett Stores Challenging Liquor Sales Law
A package store in Natick is facing suspension for selling booze cheaper than wholesale price.
NATICK, MA — It is a law that liquor stores cannot sell alcohol any cheaper than its cost, but a store in Natick is taking that issue to court.
Two Total Wine and More stores, which have locations in Natick and Everett, have been given license suspensions for pricing its booze lower than wholesale, WickedLocal reports.
The Alcohol Beverages Control Commission suspended the Natick store for 11 days, with three to be served. According to the decision after the hearing on Dec. 7, this suspension would start on March 22 and end on March 24.

Total Wine filed a lawsuit in Suffolk Superior Court challenging the minimum price rule and a hearing is scheduled for Friday, reports WFTX Fox 25.
Total Wine and More, whose Natick store is at Cloverleaf Marketplace on 321 Speen St., boasts bulk discounts and limited-time specials.
