Natick Firefighter Heads To TX With Hurricane Task Force From MA

A Natick firefighter joined the team of 15 to head to Texas.

NATICK, MA—A Natick firefighter is among the team of the rescue crew as part of Massachusetts Task Force 1 that headed to Texas to help with the Hurricane Harvey flood aftermath.

Matt Mullen (pictured far right in the photo) joined 14 other members to assist in rescue and cleanup after the tragic storm. The team left this week.

Massachusetts Task Force 1 ( MA-TF 1) Urban Search and Rescue Team (US&R) is located in Beverly, and the teams are are comprised of police, fire, EMS and civilians and respond to major disasters under a contract with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Currently there are 150 people on the MA-TF 1 team.
