NATICK, MA — A local firefighter was injured and five people — and two dogs — were displaced after a structure fire in a two-family home Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out around 11 a.m. Wednesday at 11A Union Street just south of East Central Street. The fire was upgraded to two alarms after firefighters completed an initial search of the building and found everyone had escaped.

Firefighters struck a third alarm after a ceiling inside the building collapsed. Firefighters from Framingham, Weston and Wellesley responded to help put out the fire. Wayland firefighters helped cover other parts of town during the fight.
