Natick Firefighters Make A Special Delivery: Report

Emergency personnel at the Speen Street firehouse responded to an unusual call on Wednesday.

NATICK, MA — The fire station on Speen Street became a makeshift birthing suite Wednesday.

Expectant parents were on their way to Newton-Wellesley Hospital at around 11:45 a.m. but feared they wouldn’t get there before their baby was born, WHDH-TV 7 reported.

They called 911 and detoured to the station, where five firefighters helped the mother with her delivery.
