Natick Football Stays in Top 10; QB is Globe's 'Player of the Week,' Herald's 'Hot Shot'

Natick’s football team still among the top in the state.

With a 6-0 record, The Redhawks are ranked at no. 5 in the state, just behind Walpole, by ESPN.

ESPN’s panel of staff and correspondents ranks the high school football teams every Monday through the season.

The Boston Globe this week also named Nick Olson, Natick’s senior quarterback, as ‘player of the week’ for Division 2. Olson was 13 for 22 for 219 yards, and threw four touchdown passes during a win over Milton, reported the Globe.

He was also recently named the Boston Herald’s “hot shot,” and given props for taking over the big position left by Troy Flutie on the team.
