Natick Gets $385,584 For Road Improvements

Natick received a grant for a road improvement project.

NATICK, MA— On Thursday, Aug. 24, Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito joined Acting Highway Administrator Jonathan Gulliver, members of the Massachusetts Legislature, and officials from Natick at a ground breaking ceremony to celebrate the start of the $385,584 roadway improvement project that is receiving support through the Baker-Polito Administration’s Complete Street Funding Program.

According to the press release, Natick is receiving a state grant to carry out the project to improve 14 different intersections and increase safety and accessibility for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists. These improvements include installing a pedestrian hybrid beacon, high visibility crosswalks, pedestrian warning signage, and upgrading pedestrian signal and bicycle detection equipment.
