Natick High Students Named Finalists For MetroWest Film Festival
Two groups of students have been named finalists in the first year of the MetroWest Student Film Festival.
NATICK, MA- Some talented Natick High School Students are being recognized for their work in filmmaking.
Two groups of students from the school have been selected as finalists for the first MetroWest Student Film Festival. The festival is hosted by The Center for Arts in Natick (TCAN) and the Walnut Hill School for the Arts and will be held on April 5-7 at TCAN.
All filmmakers featured in the festival are students ages 14-19 who live in the MetroWest region.

One of the groups of students are Caitria Catania, Leah Holtz and Alice Kosterin who all directed and starred in their film "The Prison Escape." The silent film is black and white and follows a prisoner escaping from jail while being pursued by the prison guard.
The second group is Briana Schneekloth, Peter McGinn, Ryan Kaplan, and Fifi Schultz who held various parts in directing, casting writing and creating their film "The Artist." Another silent film that followed an artist trying to paint a portrait while the subject refuses to standstill.

Tickets for the three day festival, which includes multiple screenings and a Q & A with the filmakers, are available to the public through the TCAN Box Office. The cost of a single screening is $5. A discounted Festival Pass to attend all three days is $12. To purchase tickets: natickarts.org/mwsff
