Natick Honored On College Board's AP Honor Roll

Natick is just one of 367 school districts honored for Advanced Placement performance.

The has been honored as one of only 367 schools in the United States and Canada to earn a spot on the College Board Advanced Placement Honor Roll this year.

In order to receive this recognition, Natick increased the number of Advanced Placement classes offered and maintaining the percentage of students who received a three or higher on the AP test.

The number of students taking AP courses has increased from 123 to 177 since 2009, according to a statement from the schools. The number of those students who received a score of three or higher has stayed relatively steady since 2009, decreasing from 93 percent to 85 percent in 2011, which the schools say is to be expected when a wider range of students is participating. Most higher education establishments require a three or higher in order to earn credit for college courses.
