Natick HS Fundraiser Aims For Safe Post-Prom Party
Prom season is right around the corner, and the Natick High PTSO is trying to raise money for an after party.
NATICK, MA — The Natick High PTSO is asking you to the prom, and they hope you'll say yes.
The fundraising group helmed by local parents is in the midst of a fundraiser to pay for a post-prom party this spring. The all-night event is billed as a "safe, fun and free event that is open to all Natick High seniors, regardless of whether or not they attend the prom."
The PTSO is trying to raise $5,000 for the event, but was only at about $1,800 as of Tuesday afternoon, according to the GoFundMe page.

The party is scheduled to take place on May 20 from midnight to 5 a.m.
Prom often serves as a final bash for graduating seniors, and PTOs, school districts and other groups have in recent years sought to create sober alternatives for teens. Both the Worcester and Middlesex County district attorneys offices typically offer funding for post-prom events.
